I've previewed Coldplay's new #1 album to let you in on where it's going. While it's not really new, as is instantly noticeable in the chorus to "Up In Flames" which is in literally the same as several other Coldplay vocal melodies and even choruses, they do have some upbeat songs and some sure number ones so this album will continue to do well for at least a year. The first single 'Every Teardrop Is A waterfall' is not expected to hit number 1 but it may. This one is like chumming the waters to get the Coldplay fans back on the campaign trail for the band that touched them in the past. It should go to number 1 wherever Celtic music is appreciated as it has a strong helping of it. Clearly a song with Coldplay & Rihanna WILL be number 1 in a major big deal way, do I have to say anything else about it? Ok... It's called 'Princess of China' (number 1 song title if I ever heard one in 2011) and it has a much more contemporary pop sensibility than the rest of the album, whether you are into contemporary pop is another story but I will say that it is a really well done example of it. This one will have some serious legs on the charts because of the musical marriage of cross-genre number 1 selling artists, can you say promotional funds? Which will take us to summer 2012 where they will get a number 1 out of 'Paradise', unless they plan to release it 2nd (they do already have a version which is 1 second shorter and labeled 'Paradise - single' on itunes - but that may have no bearing on the official release date.) 'Major Minus sounds like it also has potential and that should go in a few places, tallying together with 'Every teardrop' to put up actual #1 numbers. Here we have a situation where I am pooling 2 lesser number 1s together and classing that with the other 2 bonafide number 1s for a grand total of 3 number one hits! Pretty good for the veteran band. But enough about Coldplay & Rihanna, check out my Zombie music video on youtube, zombies are huge right now, they are everywhere and in greater numbers at Halloween!: Find Zombie Costumes at low prices.

The latest review for Andrew Jackson's Feral Familiar: http://www.melodic.net/?page=review&id=1049310/23/2011 Toronto based Andrew Jackson deliver classic rock in a modern version, his 14 track album "Feral Familiar" is a 100% rocknroll affair that stands as far away from mainstream pop music as you can get. The guitars are rough and loud, Andrew´s vocal performance ain´t exactly polished and follows the path of how X-Factor and American Idol wants their contestants to sound like. But if you´re a fan of artists like The Rolling Stones, Marc Bolan, Billy Idol and Talking Heads, you might like Andrew Jackson´s Feral Familiar album. With smokin rock songs like "Grinder", "Big baby" and "Eugene Nixon", Andrew J will go far. This is good stuff.

1. Therefore, I say: Know your enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated. 2. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. 3. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are sure to be defeated in every battle. ~Jackson That Maroon 5 single 'Moves Like Jagger" is certainly catchy. I knew within 15 seconds of the first listen that it would be number one everywhere and it pretty much is. The last time I was so certain of an international #1 was when I heard my friend Martina's voice on the radio for the Martin Solveig/Dragonette anthem "Hello". I called her brother the next day to send congratulations on the number 1 even though I had not even looked at the charts. He told me it was there in a few countries and closing in on top spot in several others. Maybe I should have been a label scout but I have this damn talent for singing that has steered me to the performance side of the industry...
It could very well be that the ultimate Tee logo has been released on the interweb. This design was produced and directed by Andrew Jackson with the graphics skills of freedom fighter Meg Mclain. Have a gander at the goose with the golden lay!
